Hi everyone
First we would like to give you some news and updates. Then we will go over to some advice people gave regarding their work problems and issues.
We are happy to announce that we are in the process of moving to the countryside. We are so excited about getting closer to nature again. Unfortunately the move means my workshop will be packed up until the 25th approximately. No products can be made between now and 25 March. We can still do internet readings and that will also be our special for the next two weeks – to celebrate our move we are offering discount on ALL our readings. See the details below.
This will be quite a long newsletter due to all the advice e-mails we are posting.
SPECIAL READING OFFERS TILL THE 25th of March
We decided to offer 25% discount on ALL our internet readings till the 25th. Step 1: Go to the website: http://www.purplelizard.co.za/shopping/. ADVICE FROM PEOPLE IN THE WORKPLACE
Thank you to all who wrote me e-mails with advice about satisfaction at work I can share with everyone. I do appreciate the time and effort you put into this. I will only use first names of people in the pieces I have extracted in the e-mails.
Mini wrote a very uplifting e-mail with advice to live by:
I have been working at the same company for 21 years now, and have been through plenty ups and downs. And I find the best way is to focus on what you want, not what you don’t want. You cannot change that around you, but you can change you and once you start working and focusing on yourself and filling yourself with gratitude and seeing with your mind’s eye what you really want it all just falls into place. We are mirror images for each other, and when there is someone that makes you go aarghhhh!!, there is something there for you ? That arrogant, selfish person you seem to cross paths with everyday in the passage – what arrogance and selfishness lies within you, that you are not aware of, see that part in you, accept it, and you won`t notice the arrogant, selfish person in the passage any longer, they will either disappear or become your friend, same with all the other aspects of you and who you are.
Focus on being great full, – You have a job, isn’t that wonderful, you have people you can interact with, mirrors for you to see every aspect of you every day, new things to learn, old boring things – they still keep the brain occupied, you feel worthy because you are doing something – you are doing your share on a daily basis in society, keep the energies in motion, you don’t even realise what an important part of the puzzle you are, you bring light to the world, and to other souls, you lift them up without realising, focus on the magnificence of you and what and how you put it out there and not on what recognition you are receiving.
You are the Creator of your life……….Focus on the positive, stop sending the negative into the ethers for others to act out those negative thoughts and realise that by just thinking you are already doing as thoughts are energy, and fill yourself with so much gratitude that it overflows and spills onto others. Your energies will change those around you……
Bob wrote about what a difference a decision for change made in his life:
I enjoyed the message below, and saw myself at the beginning of my formal career when I couldn’t get enough of it, and at the end, 35 years later, when I felt I could no longer make a difference. I realised a few years ago that I had a choice: I could either leave a slightly better-off widow in the short term, or be less of a pain in the arse and live to the full in the longer term. Seems the poor woman is stuck with me for a few extra years now – I chose to retire early and go full-time into healing, and love it! Many colleagues said I was crazy to try to live on a reduced civil service pension, but I knew it was what I wanted – and was called – to do, and the financial side has thankfully taken care of itself thus far. Wonderful! I can’t wait to start up each day!
Nico wrote about staying positive:
I hated most of my jobs because I was negative all the time. When I started seeing the positive in life, life handed me the best job. Yes you won’t always enjoy what you are doing but if you can enjoy 4 days of a working week, doesn’t that make your work enjoyable? My father has imprinted a saying into my mind which says: “change the things you can and except the things you can’t!”. If you are so unhappy at work change it. Destiny lies within your hands. A positive attitude leads to a positive life. I enjoy my work completely, with all the negative things within it. I take pride in what i do. If I’m not happy with the results I redo it(which seldom happens)! Be positive, and the universe will send it back three fold. Enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy.
Daniel lists a couple of simple, practical steps to make a difficult work scenario better:
What makes work more enjoyable for me?
• I make a point of telling my partner about my day. Simply sharing the events of the day makes the transition between work and home easier. This makes it easier for her to understand why I come home and fall down on the couch, mope around or simply look defeated. Of cause I am lucky to have a like-minded and generous mate, who understands me better than I do myself.
• Keep your workspace neat and clean it yourself. I find that cleaning my office myself helps to make it feel more like my own space. I generally tend to passively extend my presence/energy into my environment, this helps as well.
• Get a cactus. No seriously. I have a cactus at work, the only green-object apart from the out-box in sight, and it makes a difference. Just the ritual of turning it every morning and checking it for water helps me to maintain a positive mood. Admittedly I like cacti more than regular plants, thus the same effect might be obtained from some other form of inferior flora.
• A good chair. A good chair makes the day go by easier and takes a lot of strain of your back. And we all know that an unhappy back leads to elevated levels of anger.
• Good Coffee, not at lunch. One of my favourite things in a workday is the three-o-clock cup of coffee I make myself. It is a small habit, but it cheers me up enough to deal with the last few slow-hours before heading home.
• I am in a position of bringing my passion of writing to work. Even though I am not able to write during every lunch hour, it helps know that you can spend a few minutes on something you love doing.
As you can see I extracted from two e-mails about changing work and two about making where you are better. You can decide which option will be best for you. Do try out the advice – it is from people who are where you are at or were where you are now. For me the topic is a difficult one as I love what I do. If I do have an occasional ‘off’ day I do space clearing or a meditation or just take a rest day, depending on the circumstances. I think it is important to listen to your body. If you are feeling tired and burnt out it is time to take steps. Clear your energy, rest, meditate or do whatever you can to change the circumstances causing the tiredness. My first symptom of overdoing it is usually sleeplessness even when I am very tired. Learn what your body’s ‘telling’ signal is and listen to it.
I hope and trust that you found all the advice helpful.

ARCHANGELS MEDITATION AND RITUAL COURSE
Our well-known Archangel Meditation course is available in two formats from now.
The first possibility is to do it as an internet course over 11 weeks. I offer this one myself. You will receive a chapter together with a recorded meditation per week. You will receive ritual work and homework with each chapter that you need to e-mail back to me for weekly assessment. Your materials (candles, herbs, oils etc.) for the course will be posted in one package at the beginning of the course. The cost for this is R 950.00. Your second possibility is to do the course at Misty Moon in Centurion. Dorothy Klopper will offer the course to those who needs more personal guidance. She has completed the course under me and received additional training and guidance after that. She is located a lot more centrally for those who wish personal guidance during the course.
